Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli is excited about the new players that the team roped in at the auction on Thursday and claims the squad will finally be able to turn the table in the 2020 season and go away.
Talking about the new recruits, Kohli said: "I'm very pleased with the players we've selected and looking forward to the new season. We had a lot of discussions about the team's structure and cohesion, and this seems to be a good start for us. I think it's up to everyone to send out their best performance in the league and enjoy the best form of cricket by playing brave. "Chairman Sanjeev Churiwala reiterated the sentiments and said:"

In preparation for the upcoming season, we wanted a balanced squad that embodied RCB's ideology, a confident and courageous attitude to project the best cricket in the game. I am delighted that we have managed to assemble a squad of some of the best T20 players and with the guidance of Mike (Hesson), Simon (Katich) and other coaching staff, today we have a very good set of combinations that drives the RCB proposal for a great season. "Mike Hesson, Director of Cricket Operations, said the idea was to pick players who would fit the bill with an eye on retention. "Our strategy for the auction was to look at players that would fit well with the team that was retained. We want a squad with a versatility that can adjust to any situations at home as well as abroad. A careful approach has been taken to select players who allow us to optimize our budget. I'm very happy about the way the auction went.

"Much work goes on before the strategy auction, this includes a number of mock auctions which allows us a much better opportunity to leverage the budget that we have at our fingertips. We wanted to bring a lot of international exposure to the majority of our overseas players to add and share knowledge with the exciting talent that we already have at RCB. It's not just about talent, but where else they can contribute, so far as we look at any foreign players to bring to RCB.

"Aaron Finch is an extremely experienced player who adds a lot of skill to the game, but also a calm head. Chris Morris and Isuru Udana both provide all round packages that can bowl in the innings at any time, particularly death overs that we know need to tackle, as well as providing balance with hitting power late order. Kane Richardson and Dayle Steyn have the ability to take wickets in the Power Play and carry our attack with some aggression and experience. All bowlers were also excellent at death, adding a few new tricks with which we were impressed. We've selected a local talent from Pavan Deshpande that provides us with batting cover, its strength and versatility where bats are a very useful addition to the squad, "he explained.
